A few months ago, Collectif Clothing in the UK release the glorious Pearl Coat . With it’s luxurious faux fur and long swing shape, I fell in love instantly!
It sold out so quickly (as do lots of Collectif items, so get in quick!) that I missed out at first.
I got my chance to order one recently when friend and owner of Betty Le Bonbon in Australia became a stockist for Collectif and as luck would have it, the Pearl was back in my size!
According to the size chart, I was a size 10. After checking with some friend who are a similar size with the coat, I decided to go with the 10 despite the website saying that it’s a tight fit.
I measure 36″ around my bust and 27″ around my waist so was at the bottom scale of the size 10 (listed as bust 36-38 and waist 28″)
I squealed with delight when it arrived and lovingly stroked the fur. It’s a nice heavy winter coat made out of 50% wool and 50% Polyester. The quality is great and I absolutely adore the full skirt and fur trim around the bottom.
The fit is pretty spot on although I wouldn’t be able to wear too many layers underneath. Luckily the Auckland winters are reasonably mild so this will be more than sufficient!
I cannot wait for it to get cold enough for me to wear this baby out! I’ll be pairing it with leather gloves and perhaps even a hat!
There’s still a couple of sizes left on the Collectif site or you can order from Jasmine at Betty Le Bonbon. She is so lovely to deal with and has payment plans which are great for big purchases like these. They also do custom made swing skirts as well as being a stockist for Limb Clothing – my next purchase!
