This week was my first week back at work after 2 1/2 weeks off for the wedding! During my holiday, we were basically just relaxing at home so it was nice to get dressed up again!
Summer is starting to feel like a distant memory here in Auckland but Monday wasn’t too chilly so I made sure to wear one of my bright swing dresses to make the most of it!
On Monday I went shopping at Rita Sue Clothing and bought the Ophelia dress by Lindy Bop. I have it in the turquoise colourway and love the thick canvas-like fabric! It also matches perfectly with a hat I got in my Miss Pinup New Zealand Prize Pack! I do love matching accessories <3
An old favourite and one I have to make the most out of while it’s still warm enough to not have to wear a cardigan as the faux bolero bunches funny underneath a cardi. The colours make it the perfect Autumn dress!

The gorgeous peacock print is so lovely and eye-catching! I’d recently ordered this green cardigan after buying the same one in red and black last winter and practically LIVING in them. It was finally cold enough to be able to wear it and the green went perfectly with the print of the dress and helped to give it a fresh new look!
This was ANZAC day in New Zealand which commemorates the men and women who have fought for New Zealand and still do. April 25th marks the day in 1915 when the ANZAC troops landed in Gallipoli and many lives were lost. It’s tradition to wear a poppy which gets sold by volunteers in the week leading up to ANZAC day and funds raised go to the Returned Services Association. I picked my outfit to compliment the pretty little poppy pin.
I decided I really wanted to wear my hot pink headscarf from Rita Sue that was in my Miss Pinup New Zealand prize pack but I have hardly any pink in my wardrobe to match with it! I went with this skirt that I made with my Aunty a few years back. It’s the first piece of clothing I have made and was from a vintage 40s pattern I found on Etsy.
