When the lovely Char of Bannou contacted me about sending me a dress, I’ll be honest, I hadn’t heard of the brand before. I looked them up and was really impressed with the brands ethos. Bannou is a socially and environmentally conscious brand that has a Sustainability Pyramid for each garment to show their customers how green the product is.
I looked through their website www.ilovevintage.com and picked out the Audrey Dress in Red. I really liked the look of the 60s neckline and scooped back!
The Audrey dress is a Tencel/Cotton/Spandex blend and sits at level two out of three on their Sustainability Pyramid. It is a lovely thick winter weight, I had to wait a couple of months before it was cool enough to wear out!
The sizing is pretty spot on- My measurements fell into the size small on the chart and it fits perfectly. The length of the size small is 94cm from the shoulder to hem and goes up 1cm with each size. I would have liked just a little more length, but that’s my personal taste.
Because of the 60s feel of the dress, I did hair to match when I first wore it out. My Besame Red Velvet lipstick matched perfectly with the colour of the dress too!
The Audrey Dress also comes in a Black, Green and Petrol Blue and there’s even a sleeveless version in Red and Black.
Bannou has some really lovely pieces in their collection and a great return/exchange policy. Please share photos if you own any Bannou, I would love to see!
