Body Confidence

Mirror, Mirror: A Body Confidence Gathering

Women are surrounded by the media telling them that they have to look a certain way, be a certain size and will never be good enough.

With having gone through my fair share of self loathing and finally finding a way to love myself and my body just the way it is, I decided that I wanted to organise a event to help women do the same. I approached Rachael from Rita Sue Clothing about it and together I think we have come up with a really great event and something that is really needed for women of all ages.

The aim of this event is to promote body confidence and self-love in a friendly and lovingĀ environment with other women.

With only 20 tickets available to keep the event intimate, you’ll get to listen to two wonderful women, try one of Miss Charlotte Cakes delicious creations (a gluten/vegan option available) and a glass of bubbles on arrival.

We have two guest speakers-

The first is Janelle Fletcher, a womens empowerment coach who’s mantra is ‘YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and YOU ARE ENOUGH‘. I first attended one of Janelle’s talks a few years back when I was still finding peace with my body. She had some amazing things to say so I knew I had to get her along when first thinking about this event.

Passionate about helping people to love themselves more fully, Janelle will be speaking about our perception of ourselves in the mirror and seeing our reflection accurately. She will talk about the importance of words and thoughts and also healing what is under our body dissatisfaction and creating a new image of ourselves and self-love actions.

Each guest will get a free 15 minute session with Janelle and she will also be giving away a 50% off voucher for her upcoming 6-week programme- ‘A Delicious Life’ to one guest.

Our second speaker is the ever-so lovely Jessica Sullivan! A passionate, strong and kind woman who I’m lucky to call a friend,Ā Jessica has just about finished her trainingĀ as a holistic nutritionist. She is particularly interested in women’s health and how our emotions and self worth come into play every time we eat.

Jessica will talk why not to ever weigh yourself, how to nourish your body with your food choices and tips around dealing with body dysmorphia.
