Joannie + Evita

Back in December, I reviewed the my first Powderpuff Boutique item- The Sadie Frock!

I took a trip down to the Classics Museum in Hamilton to shoot with Shifting Light Photography. Today I bring to you the Joannie Wiggle Skirt in Autumn Affair  and the Evita Top in White.

A dream duo, this outfit is classy but still sassy, fresh and summery but still perfect for a evening out and the colours are to die for!

A essential in any pinups wardrobe is plain but gorgeous tops! You tend to find that skirt are usually patterned so having some solid coloured tops makes matching easy.

The Evita Top is a halterneck top with a twist- you can cross the straps at the front for a different look!
The sweetheart neckline gives a hint of cleavage and Old Hollywood Glamour. It comes in White, Red, Black and Lipstick Pink.

I’m wearing the size 10 and it fits really well in the bust but was a little loose in the waist. A problem I’m used to and doesn’t bother me too much.
The top isn’t lined so if I wanted to get it taken in, it wouldn’t be too pricey.

The Joannie Wiggle Skirt in Autumn Affair is a new print for Powderpuff Boutique! This skirt is made out of a lovely medium weight stretch cotton sateen.

I’m wearing the Rago 6207 (review here) underneath in these pictures but I do love it when wiggle skirts are made out of a thicker material. It feels like they hold everything in that little bit better!

Because of my large waist-to-hips ratio, Paula-Jane of Powderpuff kindly made me a custom size. I’m wearing a size 10 skirt with size 12 hips. I’m a lucky gal as Powderfpuff Boutique does not do custom orders and Paula-Jane focuses on pattern making and samples. Most of the sewing is left to her amazing team in Melbourne.

The skirt fits perfectly and the stretch sateen is very comfortable and adequately stretches over my curves.

The Joannie skirt features a extra high waistband that slightly curves at the top to really nip in the waist and a added bow detail in the centre. It has a central back zipper, back slit and the length of the skirt is bang on- just below the knee!

Accessorise this skirt with shots of pink like I have, or try purple or green!

The Joannie Wiggle Skirt comes in 3 other colours and patterns- Solid Pink, Black and the gorgeous Spring Fling Floral Print! All made out of the same high quality stretch sateen.
