When I think of Glamour Bunny, what jumps strait to mind is their extensive range of curve hugging wiggle dresses. There’s not much in the way of swing styles in the range but in the last few months, there have been a couple of beautiful additions.
I reviewed the Doris Dress in April and now I bring to you the sweet Wanda Dress!
This dress went absolutely perfectly in the 1950s style Diner Elizabeth J Photography and I shot in a couple of months ago! The gorgeous little button and collar details make this dress so fun and flirty!
The Wanda Dress is made from a light cotton and at first glance it looks like it has pin-dots but they are actually tiny white Fleur De Lis.
The skirt is gathered at the waistband with a great amount of fullness. I’m not wearing a petticoat in these pictures like I normally would as I forgot one! But it still looks great thanks to the gathering and the lightness of the fabric- heavier materials always need a petticoat I find.
The accents of white contrast on the collar, sleeves and adorable buttons are what gives this dress it’s character. It has a air of demure 1950’s good girl but with the bright pop of red, you are sure to stand out!
I decided to leave the very top button un-done as I feel like necklines that are too high cut my neck off, especially with my hair out. I think I could cope with having the dress fully buttoned if my hair was is a updo.
The Wanda Dress comes with a perfectly matching skinny belt with grommets (a must!) and has a side zip for ease, plus all the buttons work too.
I’m wearing a size medium in the Wanda and my bust measures 36″ and waist 27″. There is a tiny bit of lycra in this dress but the stretch is minimal so make sure you stick to the size chart. I would say that the Wanda Dress is true to size so compare your measurements to the chart and size up if you are inbetween sizes.
Pair The Wanda Dress with red or white shoes and a cardigan over your shoulders for some Sandra Dee vibes!
This Dress comes in sizes XS to XL and is £45 from the Glamour Bunny Website. It also comes in stunning pale blue colour which I adore too!
Thank you to Elizabeth J Photography for the photos and for the owner of this glorious Diner for letting us use it! This is the last set from our shoot there back in March but perhaps we shall have to return at some point!
