Another month, another Revival Retro Love List!
This time, I’ve focussed on the looming Christmas and holiday season and one of my favourite things – ACCESSORIES!
The way that you accessorize a dress can really change up the entire vibe. You can take a simple dress from daywear to evening with a few simple additions and it also can be a more budget friendly way to jazz up a old outfit.
I’m a huge fan of anything green and the Olive Green of the Stop Staring Swing Dress really called my name.
Firstly, it’s a wonderful stretch bengaline which is not only comfortable, but it’s also the perfect choice for… shall we say… those big holiday meals?! The cross-over bust detailing adds a bit of interest to the bodice but it’s still relatively simple meaning it’s the perfect canvas for accessorizing to your hearts content.
Normally with a green like this, I’d tend to opt for tan or brown additions but for this, I wanted to add a bit of Christmas glitz and glamour… and nothing says glitz and glamour better than gold!
I started off with the gold belt and matching Grace Handbag in Champagne Gold – definitely a match made in heaven! Next was shoes and that’s always both a easy and hard thing at Revival Retro. The easy part is that there’s so many beautiful shoes to choose from and the hard thing? That there are SO MANY beautiful shoes to choose from! But really the obvious choice was the Eve T Bar in Gold.
Now I could have stopped at those three gold accessories for a lovely festive look but when Atelier Millinery is in store with a whole bunch of wonderful hats, it’s hard not to add one and this giant saucer hat with a neck tie was too good to pass up. It makes it a little bit more glitzy day-wear and I love how absolutely extravagant it turns the ensemble!
If you’ve got a event coming up that could use the magic touch of accessorizing, or perhaps you are needing to do some Christmas shopping, I’ve compiled some of my favourite accessories from Revival Retro – all for under £50!
Firstly, and probably my favourite earrings from Revival, are the Diamante Drop Earrings. Perfect to add to a little black dress for that vintage Lucite inspiration.
Another jewellery piece, this Lula Vintage Style Necklace is pretty and delicate without being over the top glitzy. While I am a big fan of sparkle, sometimes you need something a little subtle but still fabulous.
Just because it will soon be winter, doesn’t mean you can’t be warm and still look cute! Revival Retro have a extensive colour range of 100 denier Retro Tights in stock… there’s even a mustard!
I love matching jewellery sets, and this bracelet and earring combo really caught my eye for being the perfect vintage inspired pearl set. Adequately names the Audrey Hepburn Earrings and Bracelet, these will go with just about anything to give it instantly 100% more glam.
Finally, a handbag can often be a little overlooked but it has the ability to completely finish off a outfit. Revival Retro have such a gorgeous array of colours and shapes in stock- there’s bound to be something to suit!
That’s it for this post – hope you got some inspiration for the festive season and make sure you have a look at all the new season pretties available in store and online at Revival Retro. You can also read previous Revival Retro Love Lists here.
